We have an immediate need for a Sales Manager within our Presidio Systems Engineering group (PSE). PSE is focused on product development in both hardware and software solutions with a key focus on the defense and transportation industries (communications, covert solutions, and rail transportation). Additionally, the software development team supports unique integration needs for clients whose needs are not met by our partners’ off-the-shelf products. The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, building, developing, and implementing a business development strategy for the sales team to achieve operational objectives. The Sales Manager needs to develop a successful team by having a focus in targeted recruitment and effective training and skill development. In addition, the Sales Manager will strategically manage vendor relationships and sell effectively to meet individual and team sales objectives. Experience Required Must have a Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 10 years of proven sales management experience. Experience working for an IT solution manufacturer and/or software development firm is highly preferred. Experience working for an IT Value Added Reseller (VAR) is highly preferred. Must have an understanding of Information Technology solutions. Must have a demonstrated track record in building and managing a sales team. Must have a successful background in building relationships with industry partners. Must have a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with Senior Executives. Must possess strong customer service skills and service orientation focus. Must possess excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills as well as outstanding public speaking and presentation skills.
