Job Summary
The Account Executive (AE) is expected to develop and maintain long:term business relationships with brokers to maximize the origination of quality mortgage loans. The AE acts as a liaison between wholesale brokers and Interbank's loan operations team. A successful candidate will present Interbank as the mortgage provider of choice by serving as a reputable source for up:to:date mortgage industry expertise.
Responsibilities
Discuss loan options, rates, terms, and requirements with clients (brokers) while using sales skills to present Interbank as the optimal resource
Maintain up:to:date and expert knowledge of the loan origination system, AUS, credit reporting systems, current loan program options, and guideline changes
Answer client questions and respond to loan status inquiries
Provide clients with training on Interbank's systems, policies, and procedures
Oversee business development activities that identify potential clients for mortgage product sales and pursue these sales
Ensure there is a continuous stream of marketing to prospective and existing clients
Manage the loan pipeline to ensure there is a balanced mix of loans in various stages of the process, from origination to close
Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in the mortgage industry
Should possess a strong customer base or have the ability to develop business relationships to promote referrals and loan product sales
Ability to make sales by relating appropriate mortgage product information to clients
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to independently exercise judgment and discretion
High level of integrity and understanding of ethical business practices
Compliant with AML (Anti:Money Laundering) and other applicable laws and regulations
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software (Word and Excel preferred)
Advanced ability to perform mortgage calculations
