Work Hours/Shift: Full Time, Monday Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm Job Summary As a Clinic Nurse Manager with Centre for Family Medicine, you will make providing service your priority while caring for the whole person in a faith-based atmosphere. for providing physician support and supervising clinical staff in a physician office practice. They are responsible for maintaining adequate supplies and medications, appropriate staffing levels, resident education and training, and quality of clinical functions to ensure efficiency/productivity of the Physician Office. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Skills, Education & Experience Required: Knowledgeable in adult learning principles Ability to facilitate communication and problem solving with patients, families, staff, physicians, and various levels of administration. Physician office workflows or similar, i.e., Emergency Room or Urgent Care Basic Life Support Multi-tasking ability (preferred) Problem-solving (preferred) Organizational skills (preferred) Knowledge of physician office triage workflows (preferred) IV Starts (preferred) Associate degree of nursing Three years of more current nursing clinical experience with at least one year in an ambulatory setting Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role Bachelor's degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, business or management (preferred) Experience in a large physician practice (preferred) Experience in a teaching environment (preferred) Experience with using Electronic Medical Records (preferred) License, Certification or Registration Required: Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates through behavior Florida Hospital's core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork as outlined in the organization's Performance Excellence Program. Coordinates clinical functions to ensure efficiency and productivity of the physician office. Rooms patients, administers medications and assists with exams/procedures as needed. Ensures there is adequate coverage for patient triage calls and that calls are answered timely. Regularly monitors calls to ensure they are managed appropriately and educates staff as needed. Works with FH Point of Care testing staff and Assistant Director to ensure lab activities meet current standards. Works with staff to use all means available to assist with timely receipt of test results and ensure they are available when patients are seen. Ensures clinical staff maintain competency, monitors monthly quality control logs and troubleshoots any issues in this area. Keeps up to date on current standards for infection control practices, including instrument disinfection & sterilization, and any new procedures or new medical equipment used in their office. Maintains proper and cost effective levels of nursing supplies and medications, as well as proper function of equipment. Ensures medications are stored appropriately in regards to temperature, security, and standards for lookalike/sound alike drugs. Promotes an environment of open communication as demonstrated through interaction with patients, staff, resident physicians, faculty, and administration and outside facilities. Utilizes positive problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to assess and diffuse difficult situations. Provides orientation for new clinical staff. Facilitates ongoing professional development of clinical staff by mentoring, training, and implementing processes to increase the patient experience and efficiency in the office. Performs human resources functions such as timely evaluations, disciplinary actions and positive feedback to their staff. Ensures labor tracking falls within standards set by management and that overtime is utilized only in emergency situations with management's approval. Works with Practice Manager or designee to ensure that clinical staff licensing, registrations and other regulatory requirements are current.
