Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Orlando, Florida is seeking an experienced manager to lead the test engineering team providing support for Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities for the Air Force and M&S community. This is an exciting position providing growth, learning, and travel, which will support live aircraft training combined with aircraft simulator training. Responsibilities: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total network based simulation systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: requirements, design, implementation, test, and operation/maintenance. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into working systems. Manages integration and test groups for several LVC and Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) projects. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the test engineering staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines general company policies. Manager responsibilities include: planning and program performance, addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of systems for Government technical services-type contracts. Frequent contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations.
